The logo may stay the same. The fabric does not.

A single jersey knit, cotton twill and performance piqué can behave differently under the needle. Blend, weight, stretch, backing and placement all matter.

Tell your digitizer what the garment actually is, then test the design on a representative sample with your intended setup.

slide-01.png Same logo. Different fabric.. The surface changes the brief. A full photograph of embroidery illustrates the topic. slide-02.png KNIT OR WOVEN? Single jersey: Often stretchy. Support, density and lettering need to suit the garment. Cotton twill: A woven structure. Placement, weight and stability still matter. Fabric names alone do not tell the whole story. slide-03.png “PERFORMANCE” ISN’T A FABRIC SPECIFICATION. Share the blend, knit structure and garment style. A textured piqué and a smooth stretch fabric can need different settings. A garment photo or product specification can help. slide-04.png TEST THE ACTUAL COMBINATION. Fabric: Use a representative sample. Setup: Use the intended backing, thread and needle. Sew-out: Review before committing to the full run. Digitizing and machine setup work together. Send the fabric details with the artwork.
